1-wire circuits draw power from the 'one wire' that connects it to your computer. Some circuits require more power than is available on the standard 1-wire. The power injector will supplement the 1-wire power, adding two additonal low-voltage power options: 5 volts regulated, and unregulated voltage which will simply be the voltage of the power supply you use with it. The individual product descriptions will tell you whether a given circuit requires supplemental power or not. The power injector has RJ45 connectors for easy connection to your 1-wire network. This is a fully assembled and tested unit.

A power supply is required by the power injector. You can use our Universal AC Adaptor (not included), or you can provide your own. The power supply must provide between 9-24 volt DC on a 2.1mm center-pin positive connector. (Note that if you use our barometer, you will need an adaptor that outputs at least 15 volts.)
