The Hobby Boards 1-Wire Sniffer connects to your 1-Wire network and displays the communication data in human-readable ASCII format via a serial connection.  This device can be useful in troubleshooting and debugging your 1-Wire network.

This device has field-upgradable firmware.

Requirements

• Requires external power provided through the RJ-45 connector.  For options on how to provide this power see our discussion of External Power.
• Requires a serial connection on your PC to display the de-coded 1-Wire data.  This can be achieved through a USB-to-Serial adapter for PCs that do not have a built-in serial port.
