The Solar Radiation detector measures sunlight, and can be used as a part of an overall weather station. It can also be used for many specific monitoring uses, such as tracking the sunlight in various areas of your garden in order to optimize your planting plans. It detects light in the visible to infrared portion of the spectrum.

This device comes with dual RJ45 connectors, as well as screw terminals, for easy connection to your 1-wire network. This device can optionally use external power of 9-24 volts DC.  For options on how to provide this power see our discussion of External Power.

• 150 degree acceptance angle
• 850nm peak response

This stand-alone device will allow you to place the sensor in an optimal setting, and may therefore provide more accurate readings than our combined devices.
